The Aphrodites Boutique Suites – Lake Windermere.

This is our review from our in the Kairos Suite. 

Booking & Check in Process: The online booking process was very straight forward and easy. If you book in advance, you get a discount on your booking. The check-in was ok, however our check in time was at 3pm and our room wasn’t ready until 3.45pm. We did get complimentary Prosecco whilst we were waiting.  

Rooms: The room was incredible, everything was clean, the mini fridge was complimentary compared to other hotels, the bed was huge and very comfortable and over-all was a brilliant experience. 

Hotel Facilities: The Kairos Suite had everything you could need, bathrobes/slippers, plenty of towels and bathmats, luxury tea and coffee station, coffee machine, ice maker, stocked mini fridge, spa bath, hot tub, barrel sauna and breakfast in bed. However, one thing I would note is that there are no facilities for dinner so you either must bring something with you or go to a restaurant in Windermere.   

Service: The overall service was great; the staff were very attentive in the check in process and the breakfast was delivered to the rooms in time and were still piping hot. 

Location: The location of The Aphrodites Boutique Suites was perfect for those who wanted to venture down to Windemere. It was around a 20-minute walk to the lake or only a few minutes down the road in the car.   

Value for Money: Regarding what you get for your stay the value for money does make sense as it is expensive to run hot tubs and saunas all the time. However, it is still quite an expensive stay. Our room was just under £400 for 1 night. This could be spent on a city break in Europe. 

Unique Features: We loved that the suite had a large hot tub and Swedish barrel sauna, they were both in the beautiful garden surrounded by nature. 

Overall Impression and Recommendation: Overall we would give 9/10. We really did love the stay here and would go back. It really was the ultimate relaxing/romantic retreat. The beds were so comfy and was one of the best night’s sleep we have had in a hotel. The suites are surrounded by nature and are secluded so you have lots of privacy. The breakfast on the morning was delicious.
