Ultimate Guide to Disneyland Paris for Adults

Let’s be honest, who doesn’t love Disney? There is something for everyone, from rides to entertainment to great food. And what was once seen as something that only children can enjoy has changed! From our previous trip, we realised that there was more couples, or adult friendship groups than children there. Though it was outside of the school holidays though.

Myself (Libby), have been coming to Disneyland Paris since I was younger. My auntie and uncle lived in Paris whilst I was growing up. Though I had not been in over 10 years so was excited to see how different it was. Troy, has been going to Disney World since he was little too. So we have both been brought up being lucky enough to experience the magic of Disney. However, Troy had never been to Disneyland Paris so of course this became his birthday treat.

Travel and Accommodation

So let’s dive into our guide on how to make the most of your Disney trip as adults! For reference we came on Sunday 8th September until Tuesday 10th September 2024. We stayed in the New Port Bay Club Hotel which is in the Disney grounds. We decided to do it this way as it was cheaper getting a Disney Hotel and ticket combination. Paying for tickets, hotels in Val De Europe and then train tickets every day ended up being more.

Top Tip: Keep looking at the Disney website if you are looking for the hotel/ticket deal. The price changes every day. When we first looked it was over £900 then a week later it dropped to £740 which we jumped at.

We would recommend staying in the Disney hotels. It is so much easier than having to get the RER (train) every morning. The New Port Bay Club was on around a 15-minute walk to the parks. You get “magic hour” before the general public. This is great for the popular rides. It is also a perk if you want photos without the big crowds.

The average price for a hotel in Val De Europe is around 110+ euros a night. It costs 6 euros each one way on the RER. For reference the RER is the train service that runs from Disneyland to the centre of Paris. We used the RER as we got the Eurostar from London to Paris.

What’s just as fun as riding loads of rides? A food tour! I mean we are both big foodies there’s no doubt about that. We wanted to see how all of the treats here compared to Disney World. We went last year around the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot and it was incredible! The food did not disappoint either.

Food Recommendations

Here’s a list of must try foods whilst your here at Disneyland Paris:

Take Away / Quick Service
  • Cookie Kitchen (Main Street, Next to Cable Car Bake Shop) – Mickey Beignet (aka best way to start your morning).
  • Casa de Coco (Frontierland) – Chicken Burrito and Jalapeños and cheddar cheese bites.
  • March Hare (Fantasyland) – The Unbirthday Ice cream (Vanilla Flavour Ice Cream, Salted Caramel Sauce and Popcorn).
  • Casey’s Corner (Main Street) – Hot Dog, Beef Sausage with Nachos, Caramelized Onions and Barbecue Sauce.
  • Cable Car Bake Shop (Main Street) – Eclair Tartlet.
  • Stands Near Small World – Nutella Crepe (It would be rude to not have a crepe whilst were in Paris!).
  • Overland Trial Cafe (Adventureland) – Churros with cream and caramel sauce.
  • Laugh N Go (World of Pixar) – Croque McQueen and World of Pixar Cupcake.
  • Colonel Hathi’s Pizza Outpost (Adventureland) – Mickey’s pizza chicken curry and red onions.
  • Market House Deli (Main Street) – Croque-Monsieur (turkey and cheese).

The price range varies between the more snacks and lunch. Most snacks are between 5 euros and 12 euros. For lunches you should expect to pay around 20 euros per adult.

Sit Down Restaurant’s
  • Captain Jack’s (Adventureland) – This is a sit-down restaurant. We did the 45 euro, 3 course meal. It was worth every penny! We recommend the “spiced black pudding and smoked sausage” and “Island style fish soup” for starters. “Oven baked Mahi Mahi fish steak” and “Caribbean chicken” for the main coursers. “Island style rice pudding” and “shortbread roasted pineapple” for desert. Amazing quality for theme park food.
  • PYM Kitchen (Avengers Campus) – All you can eat buffet. We loved this as it had small and large sized foods. It felt as if you were in Ant Man. There was a wide range of food so has something for everyone. My favourite part was the deserts, I’ve always had a sweet tooth.

All of the sit down restaurants have a set menu for 45 euros as well as general main menu. We found this much better value than having just a main course by itself. This is because a main course cost anything between 18-40 euros. For theme parks the food is great and is worth the price. If we had to recommend one it would always be Captain Jack’s.

We ate a lot of food in our 3 days here. One thing we did notice is that the choice of food is much better in the Disneyland Park. It is not as good in the Walt Disney Studios Park.

One thing we would always recommend is getting a glass of champagne. Watch the show at the end of the day. It just adds more magical moments and you get to keep the collectible glass. It is 20 Euros which isn’t the cheapest but it really is worth it. And you will be thinking that it is cheap champagne but whatever brand they used it was delicious.

The Best Rides in Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios

Our favourite rides included:

  • Big Thunder Mountain and yes, it is in our opinion better than the Disney World one.
  • Crush’s Coaster, this wasn’t what we were expecting and in a good way!
  • Phantom Manor (The Haunted Mansion), we love both of these and couldn’t choose whether Disneyland or World was better.
  • Pirates of the Caribbean. The way this ride seemed to go down 3 tiers was cool. It was longer than the Disney World one.
  • Spider-Man W.E.B Adventure, if your competitive you need to go on this one.
  • The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, they are so much more brutal with the drops and it was hilarious. Definitely one for the thrill seekers.
  • Indiana Jones and The temple of the peril is a good ride. However, it does knock your head side to side a lot.

These are just a few of our favourites. We went on pretty much all of the rides. These ones above are for sure the better ones for adults.
